Are you ready?

You better watch out, you better not cry...

(Stitched in needle and thread...it's so sweet.)
I'm telling you why.
Santa Claus is coming to town.

The countdown has begun...  I've been hearing "How many more days til Christmas?"  since we got home from Thanksgiving dinner, but now that it is here, it's so festive and exciting and the kids are just bursting.  I have admit I have a bittersweet feeling about Christmas day.  I love it for the kids, but it all ends just too quickly and the magic is gone.
For me, it's Christmas Eve that I love most.
The entire month, as busy as it is, has been so full of Christmas spirit.
It was a good one this year.

I love this sign that hangs on our door.  Jen, do you recognize it?

Our tree.  Do you tinsel?

Since Jack has been two, we have gone to the same place to get our Christmas decorations.
Troy's Nursery has the most magical Christmas shop,  and beautiful, incredible smelling trees, wreaths and garland... AND delicious warm apple cider.  Every year each one of us gets to chose an ornament for the tree. It's given us such a great collection of wonderful and personal ornaments.
And the kids are so proud of them.  Here a few...

This was my choice this year.

We all thought this nutcracker was pretty funny.

 Sally's choice.

 Jeremy's.

 Zuzu's

A sweet felt ornament.  I love it.

 Jack's choice this year.

Sally's 1st Christmas.

 F for Finn.

And a little bit of sparkle.

Merry Christmas everyone!  I hope it's magical.

White Christmas

It's hard to believe that this time last year we had at least 2 feet of snow on the ground. This year nothing....yet.  Hoping for a White Christmas it just makes it all so much more festive.
We shall see.

If you want add a little color and pizazz and all around fabulousness to your holiday shopping this weekend, find your way to the closest Jonathan Adler shop and be ready to be wowed.
Everything in this store is inspiring and exciting and energizing and I love it all.
I popped into the brand new Greenwich, Connecticut store today and the staff couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful as I got in their way taking pictures and gushing over the merchandise.
Thank you guys.  You will definitely be seeing me again!
Take a peak at the goods...

I love these boxes for gifts.  They are lacquered in obviously the greatest colors and inside are either dominos or poker chips...and how adorable are the cards?

The most beautiful candle.
And while I'm commenting, just take a look at how eveything is styled so perfectly.

The softest throw you have ever felt.

Salt and pepper shakers.  Yes please.

More.

Cups and tumblers.  Look at the colors.
I will take the blue.  Or maybe the orange.

 A butter dish.  How fun.

Almost impossible to choose, but if I had to I would say my most
favorite thing in the store is the lighting.

The best. It's needlepoint.

Just fabulous.

Don't forget the book.

Just adding a little color to your shopping experience.
Merry, merry.

Twelve Days of Christmas

Is it the twelve days leading up to Christmas? If so that means it would start today. Or does it start on Christmas? I've never known. But my guess is that it is the twelve days after Christmas. Anyone?

Christmas decorations

I try to change things a bit each year and am always tweaking my decorations leading up to the 25th.  Look at some of these cute ideas.  I love their simplicity.  The kids could even help make a few, so I think we may try to replicate some this weekend.
