What a fun trip down memory lane. I was on dance team in high school and had made American All-Sstar so i was on the field when she performed this. before this, they were playing Lee Greenwood's Proud To Be An American while they showed scenes of troops on the big screens, everybody was waving their American flags, singing along, CRYING - it was an amazing moment! one i will never forget. that Super Bowl was almost cancelled due to safety concerns and there were sharp shooters lining the top of the stadium. thanks for the memory and Happy 4th to you girlies! xo
ReplyDeleteHow amazing it must have been to be there. So happy there was such a connection with today's post! I'm in your neck of the woods tomorrow. I'll touch base and maybe we can meet up! Wish our girl Jen was coming. Definitely in the fall! Having trouble with the packing considering the temp. Don't think my white jeans are going to cut it. Hope you had a great 4th. xo
