It's been too long! So happy to be back from my little hiatus.
I'm really excited to get things back to normal, move on into fall
(Go on our NYC field trip Jen! Can't wait for that.)
and slowly let go of summer...

and slowly let go of summer...
...but not without a little something to remember it by.
I came home this year with a tiny collection of sweet, little white shells
to remind me of the beach.

I had found so many throughout the month that at the end of our trip, I had the kids dig into the jar that held the shells and grab a handful so they too could take home their own little piece of the beach. They were so excited about their collection.
Their excitement got me thinking about collecting and how important our collections are and what they say about us.

So what does it say about me that my prized and protected collections are magazines?

House Beautiful and Domino...and I'm so happy I saved them.

And coffee table books. Can you have enough?
In my opinion, absolutely not. Too many good ones are out there.

Did I mention my collection of glassware? These are my most recent purchase.

My husband is definitely a collector. He loves his trinkets and fiercely protects them.
He has a fantastic collection of antique pocket watches. What does that say??
Here are just a couple.

My son's collection...snow globes. Don't mess with them.

I love how India Hicks shows off her collection of shells.
Isn't it fantastic?! She used a printer's tray to display her collections.
I have to tell you that India is not the only clever one here.
I gave Jeremy a printers tray probably about 10 years ago to display his collections.
Sadly, it sits empty waiting to be loved.
Someday.

Would love to hear about your collections.
