Family

where: from me to you xo
We all come to our marriages with our own set of traditions and family history.  Recently my husband and I have been struggling with the pull of keeping up with those on each side of our families.  Should we continue to follow those same traditions or do we chart our own?  Do we find a new place to go in the summer? Building special memories from just the experiences of our own family of four.  It's hard to let go of the old and start something new.  Am I just trying to recreate my childhood memories for my own children?  It might be time to begin to build our own family history.  It's hard, because the expectation of other family members come into play and I hate to disappoint others.  I also don't ever want to feel a sense of regret.  Linds, I know we talk about this a lot and we both struggle with how to handle it.  But a fresh start is not a bad thing - right?

Smile

Don't you just love when a simple image just makes you smile.  That's what these images do for me.  And certainly in the midst of dull and grey January anything that puts a smile on your face is a good thing. Don't you think?

Wu hoo!

where: thefrisky.com
Unlike some of you chic, stylish women out there, I, along with the masses learned of Jason Wu on that enchanted night when the elegant First Lady walked into the Inaugural Ball.
With that evening, the incredible fashion designer was fast tracked to a household name.

How much did you love that dress?  I loved it.  I thought it was so beautiful.

(I just had to include this photo.)

Jason Wu's designs are beautiful.
And maybe even more fabulous is his showroom.
Take a peak at both...

You know how I feel about inspiration boards.  Here's one of his.

One of his sketches.

Sadly, I do not own a Jason Wu design...yet.  Come the 5th of February, that will all change.
Now Jason Wu can be added to the exclusive list of fantastic, creative designers who have allowed us into the world of fabulous fashion by setting up shop in none other than Target.
(I wonder if it will be anything like the Missoni frenzy.  Better get there early.)

This would be my choice.  A little too short for me but I think I can pull it off with a pair of black tights. So cute.

Happy 60th TODAY

where:pinterest
I love the TODAY show. I've watched it as long as I can remember. My Mom always had it on when I was growing up, so I guess that's how it naturally became part of my mornings as well.  I've had mixed feelings about the various anchors over the years but overall I enjoy having it be a part of my morning routine. I know Linds you feel the same.
