I'm a little bit sad about the news of Maria & Arnold calling it quits. When they first got married I was skeptical as they seemed like complete opposites - right?

But 25 years of marriage - how do you walk away from that? And 4 kids. I guess unless you're in it you never know what is going on in someone else's life or marriage. I think Maria is an amazing woman. Her parents Sargent Shriver and Eunice Kennedy Shriver did incredible work for others, he founded the Peace Corps and she the Special Olympics - talk about giving back. Maria has done pretty well in her own right, starting her career as a journalist working and co-anchoring news shows for both CBS and NBC, specifically for NBC's Dateline, only stepping down when NBC thought it might be a conflict of interest when she became First Lady of California. She a big supporter in the fight to cure Alzheimer's, as her father suffered from the disease. Most recently she created The Women's Conference - which I'd like to go to one year. The women (and men) that speak and hold workshops at the conference are really impressive. I'm sure she will come out of this just fine and hopefully her children will as well. And lets not forget she does have Oprah as a BFF to discuss it all with.
